Etihad Arena will host the hit Broadway show

Proactiv Entertainment has partnered with Miral and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to bring one of America's most enduring musical, Chicago, to the capital from 12 to 22 September 2024.

Chicago the musical pre-sale tickets will go on sale on 2 May and general tickets go on sale from 6 May.

Since its Broadway premiere in New York 27 years ago, Chicago has won six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, and played in major cities around the world, including London, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Berlin and Madrid.

Proactiv Entertainment chief executive officer Nicolas Renna said: “We are thrilled to bring the classic and timeless production of Chicago to Abu Dhabi. This is one of the most successful and most loved musicals out there.

“Introducing this remarkable production builds upon the resounding success of past shows we've presented, such as The Lion King in 2022 and Hamilton in 2024. This represents another significant milestone for the UAE's flourishing theatre community, underscoring its continuous growth and evolution.”

The show runs from 12 or 22 September 2024. Tickets are on sale now, from AED185 AED (standard, weekdays) to AED975 (Royal, weekends). Pre-sale registration is now available through www.etihadarena.ae and www.platinumlist.net, with pre-sale tickets going on sale Thursday 2 May
