Celebrity Xcel to host president's cruise in 2026

Eight-night voyage will sail from Athens to Barcelona

Celebrity Cruises’ next president’s cruise will be an eight-night Mediterranean sailing on board Celebrity Xcel in 2026.

The annual president's voyage will depart from Athens on 13 September 2026 and visit Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini, Ephesus and Malta, before finishing in Barcelona on 21 September. 

The sailing will invite the line’s loyalty passengers to spend time with president Laura Hodges Bethge and the rest of the leadership team. 

Details of shore excursions and special events for the voyage will be announced at a later date.

This year, the president’s cruise sailed to the Norwegian fjords on Celebrity Apex (pictured) between 17-25 May. 

Hodges Bethge said: “Our annual president’s cruise is my favourite sailing of the year as we dedicate a full itinerary to celebrating and spending time with our Captain’s Club members.

Set to make its debut voyage on 18 November 2025, the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Xcel will be the first ship in the fleet to feature the Bazaar, a concept designed to bring the destinations visited onto the ship through entertainment, enrichment and retail offerings.
