P&O Cruises has ‘record-breaking’ January bookings

Excel-class ship Iona attracted the most interest

P&O Cruises has claimed record-breaking sales in its strongest January to date. 

Booking numbers for January 2024 have not been disclosed but the most popular destinations were highlighted as being the Caribbean, the Norwegian fjords and the Atlantic Islands, while the Excel-class ship Iona attracted the most interest.

A longer average booking lead time was also seen during the period.

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “The beginning of 2024’s wave has once again surpassed all expectations with record-breaking sales indicating a renewed confidence in the holiday market and the excellent value for money that you get with a P&O Cruises holiday. 

“We entered 2024 better booked so we have less reliance on the lates market, which is better for us and better for agents in terms of earnings potential.”

Wave booking offers remained in place until 4 March 2024, including 10% deposits on Select Price or Early Saver rates and 20% off selected Classic drinks packages.
