The Norwegian fjords emerged as the most popular destination
P&O Cruises is claiming a record-breaking number of bookings made during the wave peaks period.
The UK market leader’s strongest wave season between 16 December and 6 March 2023 saw the Norwegian fjords emerge as the most popular destination.
Cruises in the Caribbean and western Mediterranean were also among the most popular. The line also reported that first-time cruisers were recognising the value for money proposition offered.
The peak bookings period coincided with Arvia, is second LNG-powered, Excel-class ship, joining the fleet in December ahead of a naming ceremony in Barbados on Thursday (March 16) with Nicole Scherzinger acting as godmother.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “This year’s wave season has surpassed all expectations with record-breaking days throughout the period.
"It’s particularly encouraging to see that guests who are new to cruising are recognising the excellent value for money, fantastic destinations and unique experience on a P&O Cruises holiday."
