The Island comprises 40 secluded rooms and suites outdoor patios or balconies surrounded by waterways.

The new guest room interiors have been crafted using thoughtful textures and organic materials accented by warm lighting and an earthy colour scheme. Works by local artists decorate the suites. Johanny Twala has contributed intricate line drawings of Lions Head, Signal Hill and Table Mountain. Claude Chandler created his artworks utilising the longitude and latitude of Table Mountain.

Signature options include contemporary Japanese-Peruvian concept Nobu by chef Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa and Ochre Restaurant offering a contemporary interpretation of age-old South African recipes that combine a kaleidoscope of heritages in re-imagined dishes.
