Singapore Airlines introduces unlimited WiFi for premium class passengers

SIA is one of the first major airlines to offer complimentary unlimited WiFi across its network

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has rolled out complimentary unlimited in-flight WiFi for all first and business class customers, as well as Priority Passenger Service (PPS) Club members and supplementary card holders.

In addition, KrisFlyer members will have access to two hours of free WiFi in economy class. 

There's also an updated WiFi pricing plans for non-KrisFlyer members, and those who reach the limit of the complimentary plans that have been introduced.

Package options are US$3.99 for one hour, US$8.99 for three hours, or US$15.99 for the entire flight.

The new WiFi service will be implemented across SIA’s entire fleet with the exception of routes served by the carriers B737-800s, as they don’t support WiFi functionality.

The initiative makes SIA one of the first major airlines to offer complimentary unlimited WiFi across its passenger network.

Singapore Airlines senior vice president of customer experience, Yeoh Phee Teik said: “Staying connected, even at 35,000 feet in the air, has become an essential aspect of the travel experience. With our enhanced WiFi offerings, SIA’s customers can stay in touch with their loved ones, post photos and videos on their social media channels, and keep updated on the latest news.

“These changes are in response to customer feedback, and part of SIA’s continuous investment to enhance their travel experience and maintain our leadership position.”
