UAE national airline to add flights to cities in Oman, Poland and Russia
Etihad Airways is extending its summer network with the addition of seasonal flights to three new destinations: Salalah in Oman, Krakow in Poland and Kazan in Russia.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline has already launched four new destinations this year – Warsaw, Prague, Sochi and Atlanta – and says it will add another 13 routes before the end of 2025.
That comes after the airline announced 10 new destinations in a single day in November 2024.
Flights to Kazan, one of Russia’s fast-growing tech hubs in the Tatarstan region on the banks of the Volga River, will begin on 4 December 2025 and will be three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
The service will depart Zayed International Airport (AUH) at 8:15am, arriving at Kazan International Airport (KZN) at 12:30pm. The return flight departs KZN at 1:25pm, landing at AUH at 7:50pm.
Salalah in Oman, a popular summer Gulf getaway thanks to its annual khareef monsoon season and cooler temperatures, will be served from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport from 21 May 2026.
The service from Abu Dhabi to Salalah will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays until 15 June 2026 before going daily until 15 September 2026. Flights depart AUH at 8:30am, arriving at Salalah International Airport (SLL) at 10:10am. Return flights depart SLL at 11:05am and land at AUH at 12:50pm.

The Gothic city of Krakow will be Etihad’s second destination in Poland when flights begin on 15 June 2026, having launched a service to Warsaw earlier this year. Visitors to Krakow will be attracted by the cafe culture, mediaeval streets and imposing castle, plus the nearby Tatra Mountains.
The service from Abu Dhabi to Krakow will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 16 June until 5 September 2026. Flights will depart AUH at 2:40am, arriving at Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK) at 7:15am. Return flights depart KRK at 11:05am and arrive AUH at 7:00pm.
With these additions, Etihad’s network will extend to more than 90 destinations.
The UAE carrier, which recently posted its highest-ever profits and passenger numbers, is on track to achieve record numbers in 2025, with profits and passenger numbers already reaching record highs in the first quarter of 2025. Profit surged 30% to reach a record US$187 million (AED686 million), passenger numbers topped 5 million, up 16%, and revenue rose 15% compared to Q1 2024.
