3 restaurants win a Michelin star in Abu Dhabi

Hakkasan, 99 Sushi Bar and Talea by Antonio Guida ranked in the first guide

The first Michelin Guide Abu Dhabi recognised just three restaurants in the UAE capital with a single Michelin star rating. Four restaurants received a Bib Gourmand, awarded for offering good food at moderate prices. 

Modern Cantonese restaurant Hakkasan, contemporary Japanese 99 Sushi Bar and Talea by Antonio Guida, serving 'cucina di famiglia' (family-style) Italian cuisine, were each awarded one star.

Beirut-founded Almayass, Beirut Sur Mer, new Japanese restaurant Otoro and Mediterranean Tazal scored Bib Gourmands. 

Special Awards went to Rawad Hamdan and team at Restaurant Li Beirut for service, while, Zuma Abu Dhabi's Marlon Nuque picked up the Sommelier Award, and Talea's Luigi Stinga secured the Young Chef Award after helping to land the restaurant's Michelin star.
