Accor signs deal to open Fairmont Dubai Skyline in 2024

The striking 54-storey hotel will house 181 rooms and suites, and 121 two- to four-bedroom apartments

Hospitality group Accor will expand the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts portfolio with the signing of Fairmont Dubai Skyline in partnership with RSG, an organisation spanning sectors from real estate to investments.

Set to open in 2024, Fairmont Dubai Skyline will become the third Fairmont property in Dubai (after Fairmont Dubai and Fairmont The Palm) and the seventh in the UAE.

Like the original Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Dubai Skyline will be located on Dubai’s world-renowned Sheikh Zayed Road.

The tower's architecture features asymmetric balconies, which will be illuminated at night with a spiralling 4.5km of lighting to give an illusion of movement.

Once open, the 54-storey Fairmont Dubai Skyline will offer guests 181 rooms and suites, alongside 121 two-, three- and four-bedroom residential apartments. There'll also be a full-floor penthouse located on the highest floor.

Mark Willis, CEO of Accor India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, said: "This is a true milestone for us in the region and for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to introduce such a unique building in one of the most vibrant locations in the world. Through its distinct presence and unique architecture, the property will not only become an iconic Fairmont, but a landmark in Dubai."

Abu Sabah, founder and chairman of RSG Group of Companies added: “Over the past decade, RSG has developed unique residential and commercial properties that are synergistic with Dubai’s standards of quality and lifestyle. We are very excited to launch our first luxury hospitality project, Fairmont Dubai Skyline, in partnership with Accor and are committed to upholding the iconic legacy of the distinctive Fairmont brand into its second century.”

Accor currently operates 425 properties and more than 93,008 keys across India, the Middle East, Africa and Turkiye with another 192 properties and more than 41,230 keys in the pipeline.
