Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launches new flight to Chennai, India

Direct Abu Dhabi-Jaipur flights coming soon

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new service to Chennai, India.

Starting from 27 April 2022, travellers from Abu Dhabi will be able to fly directly to Chennai International Airport twice a week.

The flight will run on Monday and Wednesday, departing Abu Dhabi at 2pm and arriving at Chennai at 7.45pm. It will then depart Chennai at 8.25pm, landing at 11pm in Abu Dhabi.

The new service represents the sixth Indian city that Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will fly to. Currently, flights run to Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Delhi and Jaipur.

It’s the 19th route to be offered by the airline since its launch from Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2020.

The carrier will also begin twice-weekly direct flights to Jaipur, capital of the Rajasthan, from 5 May 2022

Speaking about the route launch, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi group chief executive officer Adel Al Ali said: “We’re proud to add Chennai to our growing network from the capital, Abu Dhabi.

“The new service between Abu Dhabi and Chennai gives travellers the opportunity to explore the city’s rich history. The addition of this new route falls in line with our commitment to provide our customers with affordable, value-driven air travel from our different hubs.”
