Aman’s new sister brand to launch Saudi property

Aman’s new sister brand to launch Saudi property

Janu Al Ula is set to open in 2022

Building on its 30-year legacy with 32 hotels in 20 countries, and following two years of research and development, Aman has announced its new sister brand – Janu.

The Janu brand will launch with three properties, which are already under construction. As well as Janu Al Ula in Saudi Arabia (2022), there’s Janu Montenegro (2022) and Janu Tokyo (2022). Janu Montenegro will be the first hotel to incorporate the brand’s serviced residence concept, enabling guests to fully embrace the Janu lifestyle.

Taking its name from the Sanskrit word for soul, and aiming to offer guests a pioneering new direction in hospitality, focusing on connection and inner contentment, genuine human interaction and social wellness are at the core of the Janu experience.

Speaking about the new launch, Aman Chairman and CEO Vladislav Doronin said: “The overlap between Aman and its sibling is mutually beneficial; together they offer a total solution for the fluctuating needs and desires of today’s global travel cognoscenti. We saw a white space in the market, and we want to push the hotel industry into a new sphere. With today’s modern fast-paced society, which has seen human connection and communication redefined by the digital world, we wanted to create a new hotel brand with a soul, with the aim of kickstarting human interaction again.”

Expansive wellness facilities will offer cutting-edge treatments and access to the latest equipment, as well as extensive hydro and thermal facilities, all with a focus on finding equilibrium.

A sustainable approach will be central to Janu’s ethos, from the development and operation of the resorts to the food served at F&B outlets.
