Bab Al Shams to reopen in April 2023

The Kerzner-operated desert retreat is now accepting bookings

Following an extensive revamp, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort will reopen in April 2023 as the first Rare Finds-branded hotel, a new collection of resorts by Kerzner.

The parent company of One&Only Resorts and Atlantis, The Palm, Kerzner is now accepting bookings at Bab Al Shams following the resort’s complete renovation.

The rebranded resort will be focused on elevated food and beverage offerings, including a pan-Asian rooftop restaurant with sunset views and an upscale alcohol-free bar.

Experiences and entertainment will also be a focus at the family-focused property with guests able to stargaze alongside in-house astronomers, enjoy fireside storytelling or soar above the dunes on hot air balloon excursions.

Owned by Meydan, the resort has been a popular Dubai desert escapes for nearly 20 years.

Commenting on the announcement, Kerzner International chief executive Philippe Zuber said: “I'm excited to welcome Bab Al Shams Desert Resort to the newly introduced Rare Finds collection.
