Banyan Tree to make Saudi Arabian debut will AlUla property

The all villa desert resort will open next month

Banyan Tree will open its first property in Saudi Arabia in October 2022 with the launch of a new resort in the kingdom’s historical AlUla region.

An emerging destination for luxury travellers offering a mix of history, culture and entertainment, AlUla is a desert backdrop dating back millions of years.

Inspired by the nomadic nature of Nabataean architecture, the all villa, tented resort reflects Banyan Tree's commitment to referencing local influences.

The resort is designed around three concepts encouraging guests to have immersive experiences:

  • 'In-villa' provides guests with made-to-measure offerings delivered by Banyan Tree hosts

  • 'In-valley' takes guests into AlUla with nomadic chef's tables, active adventures and private events

  • 'En-voyage' provides guests with bespoke wellbeing treatments and adventure excursions that show the ancient landscapes of AlUla and the lives of the people who call it home
