Buddha-Bar Hotel to debut on Dubai’s World Islands

US$816 million project on Heart of Europe is first in the Middle East

Buddha-Bar Hotel and Buddha-Bar Beach will open on World Islands in Dubai, making it the first for the lifestyle brand in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The US$816 million development from Kleindienst Group and George V Eatertainment will be located in The Heart of Europe, with construction expected to take 24 months for Buddha-Bar Hotel & Floating Villas plus Buddha-Bar Beach Honeymoon Island.

The hotel will feature 162 overwater keys and will blend Buddha-Bar’s signature design, music, dining and wellness. Next to the hotel, Honeymoon Island will offer beachfront dining, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.

Josef Kleindienst, Founder and Chairman of Kleindienst Group said the collaboration with George V Eatertainment "redefines" what a destination can offer.

“It’s another milestone in our mission to transform The Heart of Europe into a living, breathing showcase of what’s possible when visionary design and meaningful experiences converge.”

Located six kilometres from the mainland, The Heart of Europe is a luxury destination and flagship project for Kleindienst, comprising six islands, each inspired by a European country. The Heart of Europe will eventually have 20 hotels and resorts with more than 5,000 keys.

The latest opening came earlier this month, with Nice Hotel in pre-opening mode and joining sister property Voco Monaco Dubai, which opened in 2022 and has been managed by IHG since early 2024.

In July 2024, Kleindienst announced the 150-key Marbella Resort Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG Hotels and Resorts, set to open in 2026 on The Heart Of Europe.

Buddha-Bar currently has a 36-room hotel in Prague, which opened in 2009, with upcoming properties in Venezuela and Armenia. Signature restaurants and bars are located globally, with a popular outlet established in Dubai Marina 20 years ago at Grosvenor House.
