Bulgari resort coming to Abu Dhabi in 2030

Private island property to feature beachside villas and a yacht club

Italian luxury goods brand Bulgari is set to debut its first branded property in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, with Bulgari Resort & Mansions marking the brand's second destination in the Middle East after Dubai and the ninth worldwide.

A partnership with UAE developer Eagle Hills, the project promises to set a “new milestone in haute hospitality” when it opens in 2030.

Located on a private island near Abu Dhabi’s corniche, and accessed by boat or purpose-built bridge, the project will include a hotel with 60 rooms, suites and villas, plus 90 residences.

The main building of the resort will feature two Bulgari Suites and a Bulgari Penthouse, as well as 30 beachside villas, each with a private pool. The five-bedroom, 1,200-square-metre Bulgari Villa has its own private park and beach and a 20-metre swimming pool.

There will be fine dining options, including Bulgari's signature casual restaurant Il Caffè and Bulgari Dolci offering chocolate creations and pastries.

Il Ristorante - Niko Romito will serve contemporary Italian cuisine curated by the 3 Michelin-star chef, Hōseki will offer modern Japanese fare and La Spiaggia will dish up Turkish dishes. There will also be the eponymous Bulgari Bar.

Bulgari Spa will span 2,000 square metres and include a 25-metre pool, a 1,000-square-metre fitness centre and outdoor deck with sea views.

There will also be a yacht club with its own private beach, exclusive membership programme, and 40-berth marina.

The residences and mansions, ranging from 1,650 to 2,500 square metres, are located in eight distinct districts, each with its own private beach. Some mansions have private docks for boats up to 25 metres long.

“This project is a tribute to Abu Dhabi's unique cultural identity, blending timeless sophistication with modern luxury,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari.

The Abu Dhabi project is the second in the UAE, with Bulgari Resort Dubai based on an island in Jumeira Bay, comprising 101 rooms and suites, 20 villas and six residential buildings. Il Ristorante – Niko Romito at Bulgari Dubai is the holder of two Michelin stars.

Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI) released its 2024 World's Best Luxury Hotel Brands ranking in November which named Bulgari in second place behind Mandarin Oriental.
