Chef Anne-Sophie Pic to host 6-month pop-up at One&Only Le Saint Géran

The news comes as GCC airlines ramp up operations to Mauritius

Set on the island nation of Mauritius, One&Only Le Saint Géran has announced a culinary pop-up with famous French chef Anne-Sophie Pic, who helms several Michelin-starred restaurants.

Operating from 10 October 2022 to 4 March 2023, the concept will take up residence in the resort’s signature restaurant, Prime, which will be transformed to host a dining experience that fuses Anne-Sophie’s signature style with island ingredients. The result will be an exclusive menu offering guests an elevated dining experience.

Positioned on its own private peninsula, One&Only Le Saint Géran encompasses the calm waters of a sheltered lagoon and is lined by kilometres of pristine sands, with coral reefs on one side and tropical flora on the other. It is this landscape and the aromatic complexity of the lush produce found on the island that has inspired Anne-Sophie to curate her One&Only menu.

Bursting with the textures and tastes reflecting the local terroir, dishes will incorporate ingredients such as coconut, hibiscus and hearts of palm

Speaking about the ‘La Dame de Pic at Prime’ experience, Pic said: “One&Only Le Saint Géran is a place I hold very dear to my heart, having spent my honeymoon here almost 20 years ago, and it brings me great joy, having come full circle, to be working with the extraordinary culinary team at the resort on a dining experience that will showcase the very best of authentic Mauritian flavours and ingredients.”

GGC-based travellers now have more options to fly to Mauritius. Emirates recently announced that it will be operating twice daily flights on its flagship A380 aircraft to Mauritius from 1 July 2022 to meet the increase in demand for travel to the island nation.

In addition, Saudia Airlines has announced the resumption of its direct flights to Mauritius this month, allowing Saudi travellers to once again discover the tropical destination.

Anne-Sophie Pic’s culinary residency will take place at Prime restaurant (dinner only) Monday to Saturday, from 11 October 2022 to 4 March 2023. To reserve a table, email restaurants@oneandonlylesaintgeran.com. For more information, visit www.oneandonlylesaintgeran.com
