Deutsche Hospitality doubles Middle East hotel rooms in 12 months

The German hospitality management group now operates 26 hotels in the region, as well as Nile cruises

Deutsche Hospitality has opened three new hotels in the Middle East within the last three months, taking its total operating portfolio to 26 properties across the region, including the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt. In addition, the group operates three Steigenberger Nile cruises. 

Within the last 12 months, Deutsche Hospitality has doubled the number of rooms within its regional portfolio reaching 1,531 keys in the Middle East. 

RAK's  Al Hamra Village Hotel opened in November 2022 with 219 keys. The Steigenberger Residence Doha in Qatar (pictured) also launched in November with 278 keys. Prior to that, the group's third IntercityHotel branded property,  IntercityHotel Muscat  opened in Oman in September with 273 keys.

Deutsche Hospitality has also expanded its regional support team to spearhead its portfolio of 26 properties and three Steigenberger Nile cruises in the region, and develop a pipeline of potential new properties. 

Commenting on the expansion, Deutsche Hospitality's vice president for the Middle East, said: “This year has been a great and successful year for us. As we look to the year ahead, the Middle East is teaming with immense growth potential as the region’s leisure and hospitality sectors are expected to grow exponentially.”
