Dry resorts can compete with other hotels, says Sharjah Collection by Mysk GM

Boutique eco-resorts Mysk Kingfisher Retreat and Mysk Al Faya Retreat have prospered during the pandemic

The Sharjah Collection by Mysk has recorded the strongest RevPar (revenue per available room) in the Northern Emirates since the pandemic. Despite travel restrictions and lockdowns, this group of boutique eco-retreats has prospered.

Sharjah Collection by Mysk general manager Shafik Alaaeddine said: “The continued success [of the retreats] aided in positioning Sharjah as an experiential travel destination in UAE, one that provides a beautiful medley of history, culture, conservation and adventure.

“It’s also a testament to the fact that dry resorts can indeed compete with any other hotels, provided they feature tailored guest experiences and have a unique story to tell.”

Despite the challenges to the travel industry brought about by the pandemic, Mysk Kingfisher Retreat and Mysk Al Faya Retreat both won TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Awards this year. 

Commenting on the awards, Alaaeddine added: “It shows our consistency at delivering quality and excellence across our hotels. It also shows that our guests understand and appreciate our efforts to please and serve them, which is something we’re known for.”
