Harrods has revealed its upcoming partnership with the homegrown Japanese restaurant Kinoya.

Founded in Dubai by Neha Mishra, the izakaya concept specialising in ramen was recently awarded a Bib Gourmand by the 2022 Michelin Guide.

Currently scheduled to open in 2023, Harrods will bring Kinoya's cuisine to the UK for the first time and will unveil the new restaurant in a prime location within the Knightsbridge store.

The Harrods outpost will be the first international branch of Kinoya, which started as a supper club in Mishra’s home.

Commenting on the announcement Mishra said: "Opening Kinoya in Harrods, the most iconic department store in the world, feels meaningful. The launch and partnership with Harrods marks our London debut, and I'm honoured and excited to bring our philosophy and unique take on Japanese cuisine to the buzzing city of London for customers to enjoy."

Harrods general manager of Restaurants Ashley Saxton added: "We are delighted to be bringing Kinoya's renowned Japanese dining experience to London for the very first time. Kinoya will offer our customers a celebration of Japanese food and culture through its authentic ramen and izakaya cuisine, curating a memorable all-encompassing food journey in our Knightsbridge store.
