Dubai to launch new luxury resort for small dogs

The canine hotel will feature indoor pools and extensive play areas

Canine hotel chain My Second Home is planning a US$10 million expansion. As part of the expansion, Dubai’s first and largest luxury pet hotel and daycare chain is gearing up to launch a new boarding facility exclusively for small dogs.

Proving its popularity, the latest My Second Home resort is the third to open in Dubai. The first "home-away-from-home" for dogs launched in Dubai Investments Park in 2015, followed by a second sister venue in Al Quoz in 2021.

The new resort, focused on miniature and toy breeds, will feature indoor pools, relaxation zones and extensive play areas. Located in Dubai Investment Park 2, it will open in time for the busy festive season. As with My Second Home’s existing destinations, pet pick-up and drop-off services will be available.

The original venue spans 63,000 square feet and features the world’s largest indoor dog park, three pools and outdoor play areas. Each day, My Second Home’s boarding, daycare, grooming and training resorts already manages the welfare of 300 dogs.

My Second Home general manager Sean Parker said: “In our new small-dog venue, every feature – from the pool depth to the low-rise chill-out ledges – will be designed with the little breeds in mind. The upsurge in pet ownership during the pandemic – particularly of smaller dog breeds and cats – has created huge demand.”
