Dubai's 3Fils and Brix to host US$245 fine-dining experience in desert

Dubai's 3Fils and Brix to host US$245 fine-dining experience in desert

Anantara’s Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort will host the 12-course degustation

Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara has partnered with 3Fils, currently number one on the MENA's 50 Best Restaurants listing, and Brix, the region’s only dessert restaurant, to launch a fine dining pop-up restaurant in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter.

Running for three months from January 2023, the exclusive gastronomic collaboration will seat up to 45 guests per sitting every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, transforming the property’s Royal Pavilion into a destination dining space.

The 12-course Around the World dinner will introduce guests to a variety of cuisines through multi-sensory storytelling. The three parts of the journey – The Odyssey, The Expedition and The Discovery – will each comprise four dishes, paired with five mocktails served throughout the dinner.

Guests will be treated to Asian-inspired creations by 3Fils including Thai soft-shell crab salad, aromatic mushroom and herb soup from China; Norway’s paper-thin salmon carpaccio with yuzu pearls and sesame ponzu, and the Philippines-inspired scallop flower topped with a delicate mango sphere.

Japanese high gastronomy, meanwhile, will be on display in a trio of bite-sized cold starters, including tuna potatoes, Wagyu beef and ginger with smoked salt, and crispy tuna uni.

Brix chef-founder and chocolatier Carmen Rueda will be creating desserts, such as Winter Cheesecake with brie, ginger-compressed cucumber and celery snow; caviar pearls made with yuzu, lime, sesame and white truffle served in a miniature tin, and a delectable Cocoa Bean shell containing light-as-air chocolate mousse, salted caramel and coffee “soil”.

Guests booking the culinary experience will also be invited into the palatial Royal Pavilion as part of the experience, a collection of 10 exclusive villas with private pools located a few minutes’ drive from the main resort.

The Around the World gastronomic journey at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort is available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm onwards. The experience is priced at US$245 per person for a set 12-course degustation menu including drinks. For more information, visit www.anantara.com/en/qasr-al-sarab-abu-dhabi
