Dubai’s Bab Al Shams Resort to reopen under Rare Finds label next month

Rare Finds is a new vertical of Kerzner International

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort will officially reopen as a Rare Finds property on 10 February 2023, the same day Atlantis The Royal opens to guests.

Located on the outskirts of Dubai, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort is known for its rustic charm and immersive desert experiences.

The resort has 115 rooms and suites, housed in 16 two-storey buildings. Arabic for 'Gateway to the Sun', the architecture and interiors were inspired by the tonal changes of the desert throughout the day.

Championing local producers and using responsibly sourced ingredients, every dining outlet at the property highlights the best of Middle Eastern cuisine. Al Hadheerah harks back to the past with a living souk, open cooking stations, dancers, musicians, falconers and camel riders.

The resort’s signature restaurant, Zala, meaning ‘canopy’, transports guests to a contemporary Ottoman and Greek-inspired eatery with theatrical kitchens and a vibrant ambience.

Bars include Ya Hala, a hideaway cigar lounge, and Anwā Sunset Lounge, which blends diverse culinary traditions from the far East and South-East Asia.
