Dubai’s Hotel Show highlights

The conference will take place from 31 May to 2 June at Dubai World Trade Centre

The Hotel Show Dubai attracts product, technology and service suppliers that cater to the GCC’s hospitality sector. This year The Hotel Show Dubai will host five sector-focused conferences, including The Hospitality Leadership Forum, HITEC Dubai, UAE Professional Housekeepers Group Meeting, THEME 2021, and The F&B Stakeholders Summit; plus, the renowned Housekeeping Challenge and The Chefs Table Competition. 

The jam-packed agenda features several national and international travel and hospitality industry experts. Highlights include Jumeirah Group head of information technology Sanjay Sharma’s talk on The Future of Travel and Hospitality at 12.40pm on Monday 31 May, which will be followed by a panel discussion on Projecting Travel Trends of the Future. During this session, Sharma will be joined by industry experts, including Dr Sanjay Nadkarni from The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and Grant Thornton UAE associate director, hospitality industry lead, Noelle Homsy.

On Tuesday 1 June, the F&B Stakeholders Summit will see a panel discussion at 3pm on Dubai as an international food capital with speakers including author and publisher Flavel Monteiro, Connecting Travel editorial director Sarah Hedley Hymers and DFRE director of festivals and events Suhaila Ghubash. This session will be followed by a discussion titled ‘From tourists to local communities: Adapting to the different requirements of an evolving client base’ where Time Out Market general manager Sandy Hayek and Emirates Culinary Guild  Chairman and Jumeirah Creekside Hotel GM Andy Cuthbert will share their thoughts.

The final day of the conference will feature a discussion on the impact of Expo 2020 on the region’s tourism and hospitality markets. Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Media City & Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City cluster GM James Berry, Expo 2020 Dubai Senior Vice President of Sales and Analytics Kailash Nagdev and Rove Expo 2020 GM Nila Pendarovski will convene on stage to discuss the impact the highly anticipated event will have on the industry.
