Dubai’s new AED5,000 dinner

Ibiza import Sublimotion is set to make its Middle East debut at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai

Launched in Ibiza in 2014, Sublimotion is the brainchild of Paco Roncero, chef and owner of two-Michelin-starred Paco Roncero Restaurante in Madrid, and creative director Eduardo Gonzales of Vega Factory.

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai has announced that it will run the Sublimotion pop-up, a multi-sensory dining concept, for three months from November 2021, giving concierges, DMCs and travel agents something a little extra to offer their clients.

This haute-cuisine experience comprises 10 courses in a setting that transforms with every dish. The theatrical show includes 360-degree screens with imagery projected onto every surface, from the walls to the table, turning the dining room into a stage, the team into actors and 12 diners into stars of the show.

Guests can enjoy this one-of-kind experience at AED5,000 per seat. Alternatively, they can book the Ultimate Sublimotion Experience suite package. Priced from AED19,000 per night, it includes two seats at Sublimotion, round-trip airport transfers in a Tesla Model X, a stay in a suite with stunning sea or skyline views, welcome treats by chef Paco Roncero and breakfast.

Guests also receive access to the hotel’s Club Lounge and a 60-minute Oriental Essence spa treatment for two.
