Emirates to increase services to Mauritius

The airline will double its flight frequency to meet demand

Dubai-based Emirates airline has announced that it will increase operations to Mauritius from daily to twice daily flights from 1 July 2022 to meet rising demand from passengers.

Now in its 20th year of operations to the Indian Ocean destination, Emirates’ second daily flight will provide an important boost to the island’s tourism sector, which is also set to benefit from newly relaxed entry regulations for travellers.

Currently operating daily flights on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the Dubai-based carrier will operate twice daily flights on its A380 to the island nation from 1 July 2022. The A380 offers 14 first class suites, 76 lie-flat seats in business class and 426 seats in economy class. 

In the meantime, the airline will scale up its operations from daily flights to nine weekly flights from 9 April until the end of June.
