The airline will operate a third daily service during the half-term school break
Emirates is set to launch a temporary third daily flight between Dubai and Gatwick in October 2022.
The news comes on the back of the Gulf carrier increasing its frequency on the route in late July in order to accommodate passengers affected by capacity adjustments at Heathrow.
The airline has confirmed that a temporary third daily service will operate between 15 and 29 October 2022 to coincide with the half-term school break.
Flight EK11 will depart Dubai at 02:40, arriving into Gatwick at 07:10, with the return leg EK12 leaving the south London airport at 09:30 and landing back into Dubai at 19:35. The additional flight will be served by a B777 aircraft.
The carrier currently operates nine daily flights to and from London, including a double daily service to Gatwick, six flights per day to Heathrow, and a recently resumed daily service to Stansted.
