Flydubai to resume flights to Gassim in Saudi Arabia

The low-cost carrier will service eight Saudi cities from May

Dubai-based airline Flydubai is to resume a daily service to Gassim in Saudi Arabia on 1 May.

Flights to Gassim International Airport will operate daily from Dubai International’s Terminal 2 between 1 May and 9 May, before operating temporarily from Dubai World Central from 9 May to 22 June during the previously announced northern runway refurbishment project . Flights to Gassim will resume from Dubai International from 23 June.

The resumption of the route brings the number of destinations served by the carrier in the kingdom to eight, with Gassim joining AlUla, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Taif and Yanbu. Flydubai has built a network of more than 95 destinations in 50 countries served by a young fleet of 63 Boeing 737 aircraft.

Return Business Class fares from Dubai International to Gassim start from AED4,500 ($1,225) and Economy Class Lite fares start from AED1,450 ($395).
