Dubai’s Trèsind Studio was the highest new UAE entry at 57

The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2022 extended list has been revealed. Restaurants ranked from 51 to 100 are announced each year ahead of the annual awards ceremony, which will take place on Monday 18 July in London this year.

The extended ranking is created via the same voting process as The World's 50 Best Restaurants and shines a spotlight on hospitality establishments across the world that are inching towards a place in the top 50 list.

This year's 51 to 100 ranking includes 20 new entries from 15 different cities.

Dubai’s Trèsind Studio announces relocation

Flying the flag for the MENA region, which launched its inaugural ranking in February of this year, the UAE boasted two new entries with Dubai-based restaurants Trèsind Studio at 57 and Orfali Bros Bistro at 87.

Asia saw the majority of entries with 14 restaurants making the extended list, closely followed by Europe with 13 and North America in third position with 11.

Commenting on the extended list, The World's 50 Best Restaurants director of content William Drew said: "With restaurants across six continents, the 51-100 list this year recognises a broader range of destinations than we have ever seen before.

"We're thrilled to see 20 new entries join the list for the first time. This growth is great to witness as the gastronomic world continues to recover and rebuild following the huge challenges faced during the pandemic. We look forward to sharing the celebration at the awards ceremony in London on 18th July."
