The restaurant located in Downtown Dubai pays tribute to the Lebanese capital’s golden era
Café Beirut, also known as Kahwet Beirut, has opened in Downtown Dubai’s Al Murooj Complex, with views of the Burj Khalifa from its terrace.
The extensive menu features all-day breakfasts with dishes including ballila with pine nuts, eggs and soujouk, fattet hummus and grilled halloumi cheese.
For lunch and dinner, mezze includes aubergine-based mouttabal, warak enab, shanklish, sautéed chicken livers, makanek and falafel tacos, plus grilled meats, shawarmas and daily specials. Desserts range from knafeh and osmalieh to um ali bread pudding and qatayef.
