Hotel brings brand's 'Open Lobby' concept to Saudi Arabia for the first time

Holiday Inn, an IHG Hotels & Resorts’ brand, has brought its new 'Open Lobby' concept to the Middle East for the first time at the newly opened Holiday Inn Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

The 'Open Lobby' concept combines all public spaces, including the reception area and the restaurant and bar, into one open, lively, cohesive space. It's designed to make guests feel at home and use the space to eat, drink, work or socialise.

In Riyadh, the public space includes a media lounge, a coffee bar, and an "e-lounge" for those who need to catch up with work, while still being part of the hotel's social vibe.

This Open Lobby concept property is the first in a period of growth for the Holiday Inn brand in the Middle East.

Holiday Inn Dubai Business Bay will be the first in the UAE to bring to life the brand defining Open Lobby concept. Opening in Q4 2023, the hotel will feature 275 rooms, modern meeting and recreational facilities, including a fitness centre and an outdoor pool. The naturally lit meeting and event spaces will offer state of the art technology with a capacity for up to 100 guests and two new dining venues, a Mexican eatery, La Plancha – Terraza Mexicana, and a chic modern European restaurant and bar, Brasserie on One.

Other Open Lobby concept hotels in the pipeline include Holiday Inn Jeddah Corniche and Holiday Inn Riyadh, Al Malaz in Saudi Arabia set to open by the end of 2023.
