The brand’s first-ever “vertical urban resort” is now open following star-studded three-day celebration

One&Only’s newest hotel, One&Only One Za’abeel, is now open in the Trade Centre district of Dubai in the UAE.

Billed as One&Only’s “first-ever vertical urban resort”, One&Only One Za’abeel launched with an intimate and exclusive three-day celebration that saw supermodel Naomi Campbell, Hollywood star Vanessa Hudgens, Bollywood sweethearts Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, and giga-star Jennifer Lopez rub shoulders on the ‘red’ carpet, which was gold on this occasion, to march the interiors.

The highlight of the weekend-long launch party was the club session in Sphere, the hotel’s glass-sided nightspot occupying the end of The Link, a cantilever avenue poised 100 metres in the sky above Dubai.

Seven-time Grammy award-winning DJ Mark Ronson filled the dancefloor with a nostalgic set, and was then joined by Jennifer Lopez, who thrilled the A-list audience with a rendition of Jenny from the Block, before performing the debut track from her new album, to be released next week alongside the accompanying short film, both titled This is Me… Now.

With free-flowing Ruinart, revellers partied into the small hours with a second set from celebrity DJ, actor Idris Elba, who was also attending the launch with his wife and model Sabrina Dhowre Elba.

Other outlets in The Link include La Dame de Pic by acclaimed French chef Anne-Sophie Pic, whose restaurants have accrued more Michelin stars than any other female chef's portfolio, and StreetXO (pronounced Streetso) by award-winning Spanish chef Dabiz Muños. Above The Link is Tapasake, a Japanese restaurant and pool club furnished with luxury cabanas and the UAE’s longest infinity pool.

Other highlights in the hotel include the UAE's first Clinique La Prairie’s Longevity Hub.
