The Dubai-based restaurant will serve modern Asian and North American cuisine
The brainchild of chef Kelvin Cheung, Jun’s is set to open its doors later this month in Downtown Dubai.
Opening in collaboration with UAE-based Kings Group Ventures, Jun’s is located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and features a spacious outdoor patio area with views of the Burj Khalifa.
At Jun’s, guests can expect an extensive selection of gluten-free, vegan and pescatarian options. Signature dishes include lamb neck with Szechuan chilli and steamed mantou buns; gluten-free tempura zataar and sweet potato chaat and a rice and lentil dish of jampong khichdi with garlic butter prawn tadka and kimchi.
Desserts are equally distinctive, featuring popular favourites with a twist, such as matcha sponge with pistachio mousse and miso crumble and the boba crème brûlée, which pays homage to Cheung’s very first venture, a bubble tea shop he opened in Chicago.

Born in Canada, raised in Chicago and now based in Dubai, Cheung grew up in the kitchen and worked his way up through the ranks to the position of executive chef in various restaurants across Canada, America, Hong Kong, and then India, where he led the conceptualisation and launch of multiple restaurants.
Marking his UAE debut, Jun’s menu draws inspiration from Cheung’s Chinese heritage, his North American upbringing and his French training, as well as the fresh ingredients from local farms.
