Kuwait resumes commercial flights to six countries

The latest decision comes following a decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases in Kuwait

Kuwait has resumed direct commercial flights to and from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nepal and Sri Lanka following months of flight suspensions due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Residents from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Sri Lanka and Nepal account for a major portion (roughly 2.3 million out of the 3.3 million expats) of the country’s population.

The cabinet also announced that residents who have received vaccinations outside of the country – including Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V, which are currently not approved in Kuwait – can now enter the country provided they take one additional dose of one of the four approved vaccines: Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.

Proof of vaccinations administered outside the country must be uploaded to Kuwait’s MoH website
