Mandarin Oriental, Doha appoints new general manager

Thomas Kinsperger will succeed Martin Schnider, who held the role since the hotel’s opening in March 2019

Mandarin Oriental, Doha has announced the appointment of Thomas Kinsperger as its new general manager. 

Thomas brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience across Asia, Europe and the Middle East to the role. 

Kinsperger began his career with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2008 at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. In 2011, he was appointed the F&B manager at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, overseeing the F&B operations and partnership restaurants, including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Bar Boulud, London.

In 2012, Kinsperger assumed the role of director of F&B at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, where he managed the F&B operations, including 12 restaurants and four retail shops. Later, he was appointed project director of The Residences in Bangkok, leading the team in opening 146 ultra luxury residences.

Since joining Mandarin Oriental, Doha in 2019 as the hotel manager, he has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities required for his latest role.
