More than 550,000 searches for Oman logged on Wego in Q3

Oman has partnered with Wego to increase the number of inbound GCC tourists

The collaboration will come into effect as Oman begins to relax its travel restrictions. The Sultanate has seen an uptick in online searches. According to Wego, more than 550,000 searches for Oman were performed in the GCC on its platform in Q3 2021. Out of these searches, 34% were from Saudi Arabia, 27%  from the UAE, 16% from Kuwait, 14% from Qatar and 10% from Bahrain.

Speaking about the announcement, Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism director general of Tourism Promotion Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani said: “We are glad to partner with Wego. Oman has always been at the forefront of tourism, and this partnership reflects our commitment to continue the positive momentum in months to come. We are confident that this association will help us to promote Oman tourism among the GCC countries, as well as attract more foreign investment to Oman.”

We’re glad to partner with the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for the second time to promote this beautiful gem.
