Morocco takes top spot as best value all-inclusive destination

Turkish resorts offer cheapest options

Morocco has taken the top spot for best value all-inclusive holidays for UK travellers with Turkey ranking as the cheapest destination, according to analysis by voucher platform Savoo.

Analysing the average review scores of hotels, the number of all-inclusive options and the average cost per person for a week away in August across 41 destinations, Savoo looked at both family-friendly destinations and adult-only.

Marrakech in Morocco took the overall crown, using the three criteria, with an average cost for an all-inclusive holiday being £1,028 per person. Based on price alone, it was the fifth lowest in the ranking and less than half the price of 16 other destinations analysed.

The next best value all-inclusive destinations were Kusadasi and Alanya in Turkey, Benidorm in Spain and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.

The top three cheapest spots were all in Turkey. Istanbul ranks first with an average cost of £842 per person, Alanya second with an average of £863 per person and Kusadasi third with an average of £977 per person. Benidorm in Spain and Marrakech in Morocco filled the final spots in the top five.

The research also found Kusadasi is the best-value destination for families in 2023, whilst Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt is best-value for an adults-only getaway.

Ed Fleming, Savoo managing director, said: "With many individuals looking to go abroad this summer without breaking the bank, seeking the best deal is crucial to reducing any financial stress and making a well-worth trip.

“When saving for a holiday its important to identify the most important features you want to be included in your holiday. Proximity to a beach, activities to do within walking distance of your hotel, as well as checking reviews and carefully looking at what is included in your package are just some ways to help you make the right choice and save money along the way.”
