Driven by chef Rahul Rana (pictured), who has a rich background of curating vegetarian and patisserie concepts, the menu at Avatara showcases modern techniques while telling a story about Indian cuisine. Hostorically, Indian food was predominantly vegetarian and the idea behind this new concept is to break through the perception that vegetarian food is limited.

The new restaurant aims to showcase the endless possibilities that vegetarian food can offer

Speaking about the new concept, Rana said: “Cooking is like meditation for me. I have possibly inherited this from my grandfather, who was a chef for the Maharajas. I believe that taste is everything. A good meal has the power to rejuvenate and change perceptions. With Avatara, we attempt to bring about change in the way people look at vegetarian food.”

Avatara is open from Tuesday to Sunday with two seatings per night at 6:30pm and 9:00pm. The degustation menu costs AED375 per person (food only); to book call +971 58 143 2867 or email avatara@passionfandb.com. For more information, visit www.avatara.ae
