The airline currently flies to Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, making Düsseldorf its fourth German destination

Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight from Doha to Düsseldorf in Germany landed at Düsseldorf International Airport on Tuesday 15 November, marking the launch of the airline’s latest German destination.

The first flight QR085 was welcomed with an opening ceremony attended by Qatar Airways VP Sales, Europe Eric Odone and Düsseldorf International Airport’s CEO Thomas Schnalke.

The new direct services to Düsseldorf will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner featuring 22 seats in business class and 232 seats in economy class. Flight QR085 from Doha (DOH) to Düsseldorf (DUS) will depart 08:00 and arrive 12:45. Flight QR086 from Düsseldorf (DUS) to Doha (DOH) will depart 15:25 and arrive 23:20.

Qatar Airways group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker said: “We are delighted to launch direct services to Düsseldorf, expanding our services in Germany, and marking our entry to the Ruhr region, just in time for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

"With this new service, not only will German passengers enjoy daily flights from a new location, but customers in the nearby countries of Belgium and the Netherlands will also have access to more than 150 destinations across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.”

Airport Management Board chairman Thomas Schnalke added: "As of today, Düsseldorf Airport has one more great long-haul flight connection. Qatar Airways is one of the most renowned airlines worldwide.
