The free biannual publication highlights Qatar’s tourist offerings
Qatar Tourism has announced the launch of its first guidebook, ‘Qatar Now’.
The comprehensive country guide comes as part of Qatar Tourism’s strategy to increase visitation to six million visitors a year by 2030 and aims to redefine visitors’ expectations and understanding of Qatar as a destination.
The guide will be issued twice a year and will be available at hotels, Hamad International Airport, museums, embassies and other points of interest for travellers.
The guidebook features a range of activities and itineraries for every type of trip and traveller. In addition to inspiring visitors, the guidebook is designed to be a source of information and features covering arts and culture, dining, architecture and design, fashion, retail, sports and adventure.
Speaking about the new guide, Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive chairman Akbar Al Baker said: “As we gear up to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we are very pleased to launch the ‘Qatar Now’ guidebook to emphasise the richness of the destination and the breadth of our offerings.
“Travellers visiting for the highly anticipated event or those passing through our award-winning Hamad International Airport can now discover our abundant city through the inspiring pages.”
The English version of the first edition of Qatar Now guidebook can also be downloaded from the website www.visitqatar.qa/qatarnow and the Arabic version of the guidebook will be available in April.
