Qatar’s Zulal Wellness Resort to open next month

The 28-hectare property is located on Qatar’s northern tip

Zulal Wellness Resort, by world-renowned spa brand Chiva-Som in conjunction with Msheireb Properties, will open in the north of Qatar on 15 November 2021 and is already taking bookings.

One of the largest wellness resorts in the region, it marks the first management undertaking by the wellness leader since the opening of Chiva-Som, Thailand in 1995. At this latest property, guests will have access to more than 400 treatments, many inspired by traditional Arabian and Islamic medicinal practices.

Speaking about the property’s offering, Daniele Vastolo, Zulal Wellness Resort’s GM, said: “We cater to guests’ needs in a serene setting attuned to the natural surroundings of the area. And with a digital-detox policy in all public areas guests can fully disconnect and reconnect with nature.”

At the main Zulal Wellness Resort property, guests of all ages can access hydrotherapy suites, indoor and outdoor pools, and a lagoon designed for swimming. Additional facilities include a fitness pavilion, Pilates studio, physiotherapy suite, a cooking studio and an aesthetics centre. There is also a range of restaurants at the resort, with some offering culinary demonstrations. Meanwhile, the property’s ballroom can be used for private and corporate functions.

Guests seeking to experience Chiva-Som’s international treatments and wellness programmes away from families can visit the adjacent adults-only wellness resort, Zulal Serenity.

Msheireb Properties acting CEO, Engineer Ali Al Kuwari said: “Msheireb Properties is proud to develop this fascinating resort that will be an attractive destination to our community and to visitors of Qatar. It demonstrates our commitment to promote sustainability and change the perception of the current trends of construction. The new resort will redefine the concept of wellness resorts.”
