Radisson aims to have 100 hotels in the Middle East by 2025

The hotel group has development plans in key locations, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia 

As part of Radisson’s five-year expansion and transformation plan, the hotel group has announced plans to reach a milestone of 100 hotels in the Middle East by 2025.

The group’s regional expansion is spearheaded by the opening of two new resorts in the UAE, including the first Radisson property in Ras Al Khaimah. Located at Al Marjan Island and expected to open in Q4 2021,  the resort will offer views of the Arabian Gulf and comprise two buildings featuring 408 rooms and several dining outlets.

The group has also announced its first resort property in Dubai, which will open on Palm Jumeirah in Q1 2022, featuring 389 rooms and five food and beverage outlets. 

In addition, the group announced the launch of two new hotels in Riyadh. The Radisson Hotel Riyadh Airport will cater to both business and leisure travellers, and Mansard Riyadh, a Radisson Collection Hotel, will be located in the heart of the city.

Commenting on the Group’s expansion, Radisson Hotel Group area senior vice president, Middle East and Africa, Tim Cordon said: “As the Middle East remains a key market for us, our ambitions to expand across the region remain steadfast as we continue to further accelerate our presence with exciting upcoming openings and signings.”

Radisson Hotel Group vice president, Development, Middle East, Cyprus, Greece, and Pakistan, Elie Milky added: “With 46 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments currently in operation in the Middle East today, we continue to strengthen our portfolio across the Middle East, primarily in the key markets of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Our KSA portfolio now makes up around 50% of our presence in the Middle East region.”
