The opening follows a £30 million repositioning of the renowned Hotel Brioni
Radisson Hotel Group has announced the debut of its luxury lifestyle Radisson Collection brand in Croatia, with the opening of Grand Hotel Brioni Pula, A Radisson Collection Hotel.
Pula is home to Istria’s main international airport and is a popular leisure destination with access to historic Roman sites and nature. The hotel occupies a cliff-side location on the Adriatic, overlooking the Brijuni islands, which were the inspiration for the hotel’s name.
Originally built in the 1970s, the property offers 227 rooms, infinity swimming pools, a gym and multiple restaurants and bars. The Wellness Centre, Gemma di Brioni, extends over two floors, with an indoor pool and whirlpool, three saunas and six treatment rooms. In addition to a 25 metre-long indoor pool, there is a 60 metre-long outdoor infinity pool with views of the ocean.
All ingredients used throughout the property’s dining establishments are sourced locally and selected by a team of chefs. At Brioni Forum there is an emphasis on local recipes and produce, such as truffles which are an integral part of Croatia’s food history. The beach restaurant, Brioni Lungo Mare offers a choice of meat and seafood specialties and guests looking for a fine dining experience can visit Restaurant Sofiat.
