Rosewood Blue Palace is scheduled to open in Crete in 2025
Marking Rosewood Hotels & Resorts' entrance into Greece, the brand has announced the upcoming launch of Rosewood Blue Palace, a reincarnation of Crete's Blue Palace hotel currently operating under Marriott's Luxury Collection brand.
Rosewood Blue Palace is set to open for business in 2025 following refurbishment. The new resort will be designed to reflect Rosewood's guiding 'A Sense of Place' philosophy, with the entire resort experience inspired by the Greek Islands.
Nestled between the small fishing village of Plaka and the elegant port of Elounda, Rosewood Blue Palace will be integrated into its surroundings, offering an experience that connects guests to Crete's culture and history.
The resort will feature 154 rooms and suites, 85 of which will have private pools. Dining outlets will include an all-day restaurant that will source fresh produce from local purveyors and the property's on-site organic garden, as well as several specialty restaurants and a beach club, while the hotel bar will offer guests expansive views of Spinalonga Island off the Gulf of Elounda.
The resort will also feature Rosewood's holistic Asaya spa, alongside a fitness centre, a "movement studio", a yoga pavilion and dedicated areas for hydrotherapy treatments.
Three outdoor pools, designated for adults and children, will offer panoramic ocean views that allow guests to absorb the tranquillity of the island.
The hotel will join Rosewood's expanding collection of European properties, including Rosewood London; Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco; Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel; Rosewood Villa Magna; Rosewood Vienna, and Rosewood Munich, with Rosewood Amsterdam and Rosewood Schloss Fuschl set to open in 2024.
