Event to be held in Africa for first time
Rwanda’s capital of Kigali is to host the 2023 World Travel & Tourism Council global summit.
It will be the first time the event has been held in Africa.
Rwanda, home of the International Gorilla Conservation Programme, will showcase the power of sustainable tourism to protect biodiversity and create thriving communities, according to the WTTC.
Next year’s venue was disclosed as the organisation ended its largest global summit with more than 3,000 delegates attending the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
