Salt Bae opens 28th restaurant in Riyadh

The internet sensation known for sprinkling salt has launched his steakhouse in the Saudi capital

Turkish chef and restaurateur, Nusret Gökçe, has opened his 28th restaurant in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Better known as Salt Bae, a moniker bestowed on him after a video of him flamboyantly sprinkling salt on steak went viral, he took to his Instagram page to announce the opening of the latest Nusr-Et steakhouse at Riyadh’s U-Walk complex.

The chef shared several shots and videos of the restaurant as well as a video of himself preparing a cut of meat with the caption: “Getting ready for tomorrow I’m so excited my 28th baby is coming into the world.”

With venues dotted across the globe, this marks Gökçe’s 28th restaurant. Recently the high-end chain has received some online attention as a result of its high prices and gold-adorned dishes.
