Saudi Arabia set to welcome first Rixos resort

Rixos Obhur Jeddah will mark the brand’s first foray into the Kingdom 

Accor has announced a further expansion into Saudi Arabia with the signing of Rixos Obhur Jeddah.

The brand will bring a resort and five-star luxury hotel to Jeddah’s scenic Obhur Bay and will feature a water park, villas with private pools and a Club Prive lounge.

Partnering with Dur Hospitality, Rixos will upgrade and restyle the Makarem Annakheel Village into Rixos Obhur Jeddah, a resort designed to keep up with the increasing demand from guests looking to enjoy high-end hospitality services.

Rixos Obhur Jeddah will be set on a private beach on the Red Sea and will comprise 174 rooms and suites, as well as 73 villas.

Alongside a signature fine-dining restaurant, guests will be able to enjoy the scenic landscape at a laidback lounge and two additional restaurants on the beach.

The property’s leisure facilities will include a fitness club, several swimming pools, a spa and a kids’ club to ensure that travellers of all ages are entertained.

Speaking about the upcoming opening, Accor India, Middle East, Africa & Turkey CEO Mark Willis said: “We are pleased to partner with Dur Hospitality as we truly value their long-standing experience in the Saudi hospitality sector.

“We are confident that Rixos Obhur Jeddah will become an outstanding destination taking the hospitality and tourism services in Jeddah to the next level. This resort is Rixos’ first project in the Kingdom and we hope this will be the first of several projects on which the group collaborates with Dur Hospitality across the Kingdom.”
