Saudi Tourism launches 150 special offers for summer

Seasonal programme of packages and deals spans seven destinations

Saudi Tourism Authority has launched the Saudi Summer Programme 2024. 

Titled ‘Saudi Summer is Next Door’, the programme will run for four months from June to September and include more than 150 promotions and special offers across seven key destinations: Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, Jeddah (pictured), Riyadh, the Red Sea and AlUla.

More than 550 tourism products are included, appealing to different categories of tourist, from adventurers to luxury travellers, as well as a number of events, including the return of the Jeddah Season and the launch of Aseer Season.

The schedule of events also sees the launch of the inaugural Esports World Cup in Riyadh, an annual eight-week competition featuring elite Esports athletes, as well as multiple boxing tournaments taking place in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Ahmed Al Khateeb, minister of tourism for the Saudi Tourism Authority said: "Saudi Arabia is witnessing a transformative period in tourism, driven by our vision to position the kingdom as a premier global destination. The Saudi Summer Programme 2024 is our commitment to showcasing the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and unparalleled hospitality that Saudi Arabia offers.

“We invite local and international tourists to experience the diversity of our seven unique destinations and take advantage of the exceptional offers and packages designed to create unforgettable memories."

The launch of the programmes coincides with Saudi becoming easier to access with the eVisa now available to citizens of 66 countries and the number of weekly flights from Gulf cities to Saudi summer destinations reaches 1,100. 

GCC residents can make use of the GCC residents visa, which allows them multiple entries and a stay of up to 90 days in Saudi Arabia during a year. 

There has also been an increase in the number of hotel rooms available to travellers with an additional 25,000 rooms expected to be added this year.
