Skyteam reopens lounge at Dubai International Airport

Skyteam reopens lounge at Dubai International Airport

The facility is located on Concourse D at DXB Terminal 1

Following an 18-month closure as a result of the pandemic, the facility has now reopened with new health and safety measures in place.

In order to reduce points of contact, guests are now required to scan their own boarding passes to gain entry to the lounge, and must wear face coverings when not eating. There are also several hand sanitiser stations placed throughout the lounge and furniture has been rearranged with partitions in place to facilitate social distancing.

Commenting on the reopening, Skyteam chief customer experience officer Christian Oberlé said: “With travel demand increasing, we are excited to reopen our Dubai lounge and offer a quality airport experience to premium customers as they return to the skies.

“Skyteam’s lounge might have been closed, but we didn’t take our focus off caring for our customers, working with Dnata to offer enhanced services and a seamless and enjoyable experience when they arrive in our lounge.”

With facilities now operational in Vancouver and Istanbul, the Dubai lounge is Skyteam’s third to reopen since the pandemic.

Skyteam also confirmed that its new lounge at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago de Chile will open later this year.
