Thai Airways to launch new service to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The carrier will fly to the Saudi city four times a week from August

Thai Airways has announced that it will launch direct flights between Bangkok and Jeddah from 19 August 2022.

The Thai national carrier will operate four weekly flights from Bangkok to Jeddah every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Flight TG503 will depart from Bangkok at 18:45 and arrive in Jeddah at 22:40. On the return leg, flight TG504 will depart from Jeddah at 00:40 and arrive in Bangkok at 01:10.

From 19 August to December 31 2022, the carrier will allow 40kg of baggage allowance for Royal Silk passengers and a 35kg allowance for economy passengers. 

In addition, Royal Orchid Plus members travelling on this route will earn 1,000 miles per flight on Royal Silk class and 500 miles per flight on economy class.

Although Thai Airways operates specially scheduled Hajj pilgrimage flights to Makkah and Madinah, the latest announcement marks the first ongoing commercial services to Saudi Arabia by the carrier in 32 years.
