The UAE bids farewell to Friday brunch

UAE restaurants adapt to the new Monday-to-Friday working week with Saturday brunch schedules 

Businesses, including hotels and restaurants, across the UAE are making adjustments to their operations in line with the newly implemented Monday-t0-Friday working week, and it seems to its finally time to wave goodbye to the UAE’s traditional Friday brunch.

The New Brunches at Atlantis, The Palm
Somewhat of an institution, Friday brunch will now take place on Saturday and Atlantis, The Palm is leading the way as one of the first to announce new plans.

From Saturday 8 January, Atlantis, The Palm’s Friday brunches – including Saffron 2.0, Nobu Brunch and Bread Street Kitchen’s Family Brunch – will now take place on Saturday. 

In addition, Bread Street Kitchen’s Ramsay’s Roast will move to Sunday, to align with the tradition of eating a Sunday roast, while Saturday’s Sunkissed Brunch at White Beach will take place every Sunday.

Atlantis Dubai’s Kym Barter said: “Saturday is the new Friday at Atlantis, The Palm and to align with the updated weekend, we will be embracing the Saturday brunch and kick-starting the next phase in the UAE’s time-honoured weekend tradition. The New Brunch at Shi
Headed by Chef Li Yuan Hui –who has flexed his culinary skills at Hakkasan Mumbai and Qatar, Shi – will also launch a Saturday brunch. The Chinese restaurant located at the heart of Bluewaters Island, close to Ain Dubai, will present an offering featuring spreads of authentic Chinese and pan-Asian cuisine along with free flowing drinks. The New Brunch at LPM
Over in the UAE’s capital, LPM Restaurant & Bar Abu Dhabi will launch the brand’s first brunch,  La Vie en Rosé , this month. Serving a chic and vibrant array of food, drinks and music, the brunch will be held every Sunday.

Lovers of LPM’s menu can enjoy unlimited starters to share, inclusive of LPM Burrata with tomatoes and basil, and snails with garlic butter. Main course highlights include grilled sirloin steak, and grilled lamb cutlets with smoked aubergine.
